The International Symposium on Women and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is the premier international symposium developed to bring distinguished leaders from around the globe to address the under-representation of women in the field of ICT.  Highly published international authors, Jo Sanders, Sue Rosser, and Sophia Huyer will be joined by world leaders in this area to address international technology development, the global economy, and women's equal access to technology opportunities around the world.   The goal of the symposium is to create, disseminate and implement research, processes, and activities that will measurably and significantly increase the participation of women in education and the workforce in ICT globally within five years.  Your participation is requested to help develop an action agenda.

The U.S. Ambassador to the UN Commission for Women, Ellen Sauerbrey, serves as honorary Chair.

Organized by the Center for Women and Information Technology (CWIT) at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), the World Trade Center Institute (WTCI), and the Women in Global Science and Technology (WIGSAT).
