Governor O’Malley to Speak at WTCI’s Embassy Day

BALTIMORE, MD (October 2, 2007)
Governor Martin O’Malley will join the World Trade Center Institute (WTCI) this Thursday in Bethesda at the sold-out 19th Annual Embassy Day event.  Embassy Day is Maryland’s premier international business gathering, boasting the largest congregation of Embassy officials and industry leaders outside of Washington DC and New York.  Embassy Day aims at connecting Maryland business leaders with senior diplomats from major U.S. trading partner embassies, setting the stage for immediate and long term global relationships.

Attendees will get connectedwith 450+ area business leaders and over 150 Embassy officials representing 60 countries through Embassy Day’s trade show exhibition.  The exhibition showcases the “Best of Maryland” firms in industries ranging from hospitality and education to advanced technology and transportation.  The tradeshow will be followed by a luncheon and speaker program. This year’s prestigious speaker line up includes senior management from Lockheed Martin, Maryland’s Dept of Transportation, the Port of Baltimore, BWI Airport, and Mediterranean Shipping Company with remarks from Maryland State Governor Martin O’Malley. The event concludes with an Ambassadors’ Wine Tasting Reception.
