What is Embassy Day?
Embassy Day is the largest gathering of Embassy officials outside of Washington DC and New York. A morning and afternoon trade exhibition will feature the BEST of Maryland in industries ranging from Hospitality to Biotech, along with a break-out session. Two keynote speakers will enlighten the luncheon audience with their global initiatives.
How much is an individual ticket?
Early Bird (ends 8/1/08)
WTCI members cost: $75
Non-member cost: $125
Late Registration
WTCI members cost: $100
Non-member cost: $ 150
Where is it being held?
The event is being held in the Bethesda North Marriott Conference Center. The closest entrance to the conference center is off of Executive Blvd, however, the main facility entrance is off of Marinelli Rd.
How much is parking?
Complimentary parking is available in the conference center parking lot.
Is the hotel on the metro line?
The White Flint metro line is located across from the hotel on Rockville Pike.
What is the break-out session? Do I need to sign up?
The topic of this year's breakout session is Crossing Borders. It will be held from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. The session is available to the first 50 attendees who sign up for the session.

Who is invited to the VIP breakfast/Diplomat Ribbon Cutting?
Only sponsors and diplomats are invited to this part of the event. If you are a sponsor you are allowed to send one representative from your organization.
What opportunities are avalible to get a booth?
A Maryland Showcase Company Sponsor is available for $2,500. Your company can also get visibility by becoming a Luncheon Table Sponsor for $1,500.
Can I pick my booth location on the trade show floor?
Unfortunately not. WTCI assigns booth location according to sponsorships and embassy exhibitors.
If we want to show a video at our booth, is there any way that we can borrow a projector screen?
For an additional fee you can reserve this equipment.
Are we allowed to attach a banner?
We recommend that you bring an easel to display any signage. There will be pipe and drape behind your display.

available for a fee.

As an Embassy, am I obligated to display?
It is strongly recommended that you display.
How many diplomats can attend?
If your Ambassador is attending, three representatives are invited (including your Ambassador)
If your Ambassador is not attending, two representatives are invited.
What display will be available to me?
You will be provided with a 6ft table, tablecloth and 2 chairs.

Is it possible to have a list of companies already doing business in my country as well as names of importers attending the next Embassy Day?
Unfortunately, this information is not available.
Will there be any protocol that the diplomats should follow upon arriving at the event? Will they be required to register upon arrival?
