Cambrex Bio Science is a wholly owned subsidiary of the global Cambrex Corporation, an
innovative life sciences company with total gross sales of over $450 Million. Bioproducts
account for nearly 30% of Cambrex sales, and is the fastest growing business unit at

unit of nearly $150 million in revenues, with almost half of his revenues coming from
international. Key growth markets for Cambrex bioproducts have been largely European
driven, though recently established subsidiaries in Australia, Brazil and India bode well
for these markets in the future. Cavanagh has
worked closely with both the Export Assistance Center and the International Offices of the
State of Maryland, particularly helpful in the early days of the Brazilian subsidiary
work.
Cavanagh's business unit has recorded double-digit growth for the past two years, and is
currently exceeding goals for 2005. Cavanagh
has been critical in bringing leadership, developing strategy and fueling the energy
needed to elevate performance in all areas of his business.
Other notable accomplishments include negotiations that led to the
successful acquisition of Delta Services in Mumbai, India, allowing Cambrex to sell
directly into India, realizing additional revenues and cost savings. Looking at the future, Cavanagh estimates
international will record growth rates of 30% or more, with key future growth markets
anticipated in China, Singapore, Malaysia and beyond.
