WORLD TRADE CENTER INSTITUTE WILL HONOR EXEMPLARY
MARYLAND INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS LEADERS

BALTIMORE, February 26, 2007 -- The World Trade Center Institute proudly announces the winners of Maryland’s 2007 International Business Leadership Awards.

The 2007 award recipients include: Dr. Jerald Sadoff, MD, President and CEO of Aeras Global TB Vaccine Foundation; Mark Ronald, Chairman of BAE Systems Inc.; V. Raman Kumar, Chairman and CEO of CBay Systems, Barbara Keating, President and Founder of Computer Frontiers, Inc.; Daniel Spack, Junior Vice President of Evergreen Shipping Agency (America) Corporation; Jaap Meijer, Chairman, and William “Giff” Swayne, FEMSA President, of Holmatro USA; Fred Festa, President and CEO, of W.R. Grace.

The coveted awards are given to company leaders who have demonstrated exceptional business leadership, determination, and creative strategy in international business. The winners, who will receive their awards on Thursday, March 29, 2007, were selected among a competitor roster of 80 business leaders and voted on by the International Business Leadership Awards Committee.

“This group of honorees boasts great Maryland stories, tremendous success and impressive growth,” according to Gary Collins, Senior Vice President, Bank of America and Chairman of the Leadership Awards Committee.

Maryland’s Governor Martin O’Malley will present Raymond A. “Chip” Mason, Chairman and CEO of Legg Mason, Inc., the prestigious Governor’s International Leadership Award.   This is the highest award given in Maryland for sustained business growth with a positive impact on Maryland.

The event is expected to draw more than 400 of Maryland’s top business leaders, including 75 Presidents and Chief Executive Officers, as well as senior government officials. The International Leadership Awards will be held at the American Visionary Arts Museum in Baltimore and has become a must attend among Maryland’s international business community.
