Improving Quality and Accessibility of Maternal-Child Healthcare in Uzbekistan
July 1, 2006 - August 11, 2006
High infant mortality rate in Uzbekistan has prompted some of the countries top maternal and child healthcare professionals to seek advice from local Maryland experts.
WTCI hosted a delegation of eight medical professionals from Uzbekistan seeking advice from local Maryland experts on maternal and child healthcare. During the three week program, WTCI paired the group up with the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, JHPIEGO – A Johns Hopkins Affiliate, Baltimore City Department of Health, and the University Of Maryland School Of Nursing, among many others.
