VP, Global Strategic Procurement
Brant Matthews is Vice President—Global Strategic Procurement. He is responsible for creating and directing worldwide procurement strategies and programs for raw materials, packaging materials, ingredients, commodities, services, and non-inventory items. His global team is responsible for the development and application of procurement strategy, standardization of sourcing processes and systems, establishment and sharing of best practices and global procurement talent management.
Before joining McCormick, Mr. Matthews was Source Strategy Lead for Johnson & Johnson (J&J), responsible for creating, aligning, and deploying functional strategy in conjunction with the J&J Supply Chain transformation.
Mr. Matthews’ 22-year career with Johnson & Johnson included positions of increasing responsibility in Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, External Manufacturing, and Procurement at various operating companies in the United States, Belgium, and Switzerland. Key roles included Chief Procurement Officer (CPO)–OTC/Nutritionals, CPO–North America Consumer, CPO–Europe, Middle East, and Africa Consumer, and External Manufacturing Director–EMEA Consumer. Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson, Mr. Matthews worked for the Burpee® Seed Company, responsible for production and inventory control.
Mr. Matthews holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University. He is a Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) and Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
