Center on Budget and Policy Priorities
Miji Bell is Director of Media Relations for the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, one of the nation’s leading non-profits influencing policy outcomes on federal and state levels. Miji has worked in corporate and non-profit sectors across all facets of the communications industry, including senior level positions with Duke University, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, and B&C International, a strategic public relations agency. Her professional experience has also included consulting and volunteer roles in West Africa and Europe, advising on media strategy, resource development, and public/private partnerships for NGO’s and for-profit entities. She has a particular passion for supporting women’s and girls’ education, leadership, and entrepreneurship. She is a member of the Baltimore Center Club, National Press Club, and the Foreign Policy Association. Miji volunteers her time in support of faith based organizations, K-12 education, and the eradication of child hunger. Miji holds a Master’s degree in Communication Studies and a post-baccalaureate certificate in Global Studies, both from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Bennett College.
