SVP of International Programs
Kevin Sanderson has thirty years of experience working in international relief and development. In the first twenty years, Kevin worked directly in the field living in Central America working in both public (USAID) and private (World Relief) organizations. In the past ten years he has had diverse positions in upper management in the home office of World Relief (WR) to support and enable WR’s field offices to empower the church to serve the most vulnerable across the diverse overseas contexts of sub Saharan Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America. Managing a division of some 1,300 employees, working across 20 countries, Kevin has helped to put together a diverse, committed leadership team that has helped to build and leverage WR’s distinctive brand, capacities, and partnerships to bring stability, growth, and effectiveness to WR’s objectives of empowerment and providing tools for self-enablement for those most in need. Kevin holds a Master of Public Policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, as well as a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Missouri. Kevin resides in the Baltimore area with his wife, Alcira, and their two children.
