Vivian Duker is an associate at Miles & Stockbridge P.C. where she advises domestic and international companies across numerous industries, including technology, pharmaceuticals, real estate and energy, in connection with a variety of corporate matters, including mergers, acquisitions, equity and asset sales, and the drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements. She also counsels public and private corporations and real estate investment trusts on issues pertaining to Maryland corporate law. Prior to joining Miles & Stockbridge, Vivian served as an associate at a Chambers-ranked law firm in Ghana, where she focused on corporate and commercial domestic and cross-border transactions. She advised international companies on corporate matters in connection with investment in Ghana, liaised with local government agencies, and coordinated the efforts of various subject matter experts to facilitate equity and asses acquisition transactions and public-private partnerships. Her practice also involved providing legal and strategic advice to small and medium-sized Ghanaian businesses, including artisans and technology startups, on corporate, employment and intellectual property matters, both domestic and international. Vivian earned her B.A. in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.
