Looking for a way to have a positive impact on international relations? Become a citizen diplomat! Person-to-person exchanges are one of the most effective tools of American diplomacy – breaking down barriers and stereotypes, and showing the world all the great things our region and country has to offer.
We are always looking for community members who are interested in engaging with visiting leaders to serve as ‘Cultural Ambassadors’ for our city, state, and country. The experience not only helps paint our community in a positive light, but it also is a fantastic way to learn about other countries, expose your family to new cultures, and make lifelong friends. More information can be found here.

The visiting group of Georgian curators, museum directors, and graphic designers had amazingly awake and brilliant “Ping to my Pong” representation at every step of touring our unique national museum. The depth of their enthusiasm was matched by our mutual respect for the power of a museum to transcend an emphasis on mere object and act as a powerful force to illumine and champion human rights and greater dignity. I am so thankful to my beloved WTCI for yet another form of providing meaningful, new international connection among all the many ways they act to deepen and position Maryland for the greater good!
