Through this segment, we will gain perspective from Professor Mathilde Mukantabana, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Rwanda to the United States of America and non-resident Ambassador to Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina– of just “How Far have we Come?” This will incorporate political & business leadership trends by women – as well as basic rights of women in different cultures. This year, WTCI will continue its partnership with Maryland New Directions, to provide clothing donations to women in Baltimore who are in need of professional attire in order to find a job or establish a new career. Maryland New Directions, a non-profit organization, has been offering no-cost career counseling and job search skills training assisting low-income Baltimore City residents. Maryland New Directions works with over 300 motivated job-seekers each year and their program’s holistic approach helps build the confidence of individuals to overcome their obstacles and obtain employment. Invest in the future of all women in Maryland by bringing your donations to registration before the event. The items most in need currently are:

- Accessories: dressy scarves, belts, simple classic necklaces and earrings, watches, professional handbags and pocketbooks
