By developing offshore wind energy in Maryland, our State will have the ability to secure an energy resource that has the power to create economic growth and reduce carbon emissions. This session will provide insights into the offshore wind industry including the lifecycle of developing an offshore wind farm, international perspective and lessons learned from UKs offshore wind industry, and local environmental and economic impacts of an offshore wind farm.
